The major refurbishment to the Hillbrook Anglican Performing Arts Building included extensions to the building to facilitate new classrooms, bathroom and storage areas. It also included the removal of stacking seating, and replacement with new suspended concrete tiered seating, to create a large seating area in the school main auditorium. The area underneath the tiered seating was utilised for sound proofed music practice studios that could be used as teaching spaces, or as practice areas during performances. As with most schools we work in, access and timing had to be considered during the works. The end result, however, is a great space for the school to use on a daily basis.
